There is an average of 230 firework-related injuries near and on the 4th of July, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.  Some firework incidents can turn to be deadly.  Majority of the injuries are to the hands, fingers, head, face, eyes and ears.

The Gold Ribbin’ BBQ Fest is taking place on Saturday, July 15th from 10am-10pm at the Brown County Fairgrounds.  It’s a family-friendly event  that is more than a celebration of family, food, and fun. It’s also the year’s largest fundraiser for the Golden House.  Beginning in 2013, the Gold Ribbin’ BBQ Fest has raised over $400,000 to support victims of domestic violence.  All proceeds of Gold Ribbin’ BBQ Fest will support the Golden House.

  1. Find a secure foot stool, step up, and slip the pillow case around one of the blades.
  2. With enough pressure applied to the top and bottom of the fan blade, pull the pillow case back and off the blade.
