How Often Do You Really Need to Wash your Stuff?

If you find yourself doing loads and loads of laundry, this advice should help you. Maybe, just maybe, you’re washing some things more than you need to:

  • Pajama’s can be washed after wearing them three or four times
  • Jeans can be worn three times, if not more, before washing them
  • Towels should be washed after 4 or 5 uses, but be sure to let them dry between showers
  • Sheets can be washed every two weeks, unless you’re a sweaty sleeper, wash every week

Holiday Heart Syndrome

Have you ever heard of “Holiday Heart Syndrome”?  Overindulging on turkey day wine, especially if you’re older and obese, can disrupt regular heart rhythms leading to “Holiday Heart Syndrome” an American Heart Journal study showed way back in 1978.

Further strain on the heart comes from digesting a massive meal.  As a recent University of California study found, cheering for a losing football team resulted in a 15% spike in heart attacks among men and a 27% spike among women.
