Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean you can’t eat fresh, seasonal foods.  The 8th Annual New Leaf Winter Farmers Market presented by Bellin Health is here!

It is FREE to the public with over 80 vendors with local meats, cheeses, bakery, vegetables, canned items, coffee, handcrafted art pieces and various local restaurants.

Listeria Outbreak Linked to Cheese

Two people have died and four hospitalized due to an outbreak of Listeria that is linked to cheese that is made by using raw milk.  The cheese is made by Vulto Creamery of Walton, New York, it is distributed nationally but is being recalled.  The CDC recommends that consumers don’t eat, restaurants don’t serve and retailers do not sell recalled soft raw milk cheeses made by Vulto Creamery.
